Does anybody have any step by step pics of their install on a recessed trolling motor tray. I tried to search it and didn't come up with anything. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks, Jon

I think you will have to cut a floor support brace... I personally wouldnt do that.. Many have.

Thanks Mike, that was what I was wondering, alot of the guys have said theirs seemed more sturdy as long as they put some screws from the tray to the braces.
I bought a recess tray on line and had my dealer to install it. he has installed several. There is no additional braceing required.
Thanks Larry, I don't have a dealer close but might have to make a road trip.
I had to notch two braces on mine but didn't completely cut either. Installed an aluminum Comforttroll tray and like others have said the floor was more solid after the install than before.![]()
Absoulty, the floor is very solid after installing the tray, I could have done it myself-but was having my Xpress serviced fro the season. My dealer cut thru the braces and i have little to normal deflection only. Have you looked under that deck?, there is ample support.
Is there a specific brand everyone is installing?
2015 Nitro Z-7
2015 Mercury Pro XS
Minn Kota, Lowrance and Powerpole
Thanks for the info guys, I was planning on going with one of the aluminum trays to help retain its strength.I might have a few questions for yall if I decide to try it myself.
I've done a few of em if you want help I can email you a pic of under the deck
