    Re: Mildew in compartments (blueblaze)

I cleaned all my compartment lids at the beginning of the year and have been keeping all the compartments open when I park it until everything seems dry. So far its been working.

Damp Rid, get em at Grocery store or Walmart. Pulls moisture out of the air. Put em in each box when boat is parked. Works well for me. http://www.damprid.com/

After each time out on the water, I just leave all the compartments open. But my 200 Pro is Garage kept all the time.

Re: Mildew in compartments (Zero It)

I had some in my battery/pump compartment. Cleaned it out with a mix of bleach and water and a soft brush, then rinsed it down really well. It's been about 6 months since I did that and I haven't seen any return.

Like everyone else, I try and open all the lids when I get her home and let the compartments dry out.

I usually throw a couple of dryer sheets in each compartment. Seems to help keep moisture out.

    Re: Mildew in compartments (StratosNCO)

I have a local shoe store that saves those little moisture packs that come in shoe boxes and have them in my lure boxes ,compartment lids anywhere that might hold moisture , but my boat does not have this problem but I do this for a little bit of extra protection. and of course I leave lids open when mine is home in garage.
