    Thoughts/opinions on a 183?

Have been looking to upgrade from my 16' deep v and came accross this add on our local craigslist. Boat is a trade in and was up for sale at the end of last summer for 19995. Took it off the market for the winter and now its back up for sale for 16995. Not a fan of the electronics, will transfer over my hds7/lss1. Thoughts on the motor combo? Most 183's ive seen around have been with a 175. For an 18' boat, how stable when fishing....it gets real rough on our big lakes up here real quick...which is the main reason i went tin on the last boat. Knowing that it is a newer boat, with hopefully few if any problems. Any areas i should really look at...never owned a fiber boat before. Thanks for the input! Here is the CL ad. http://seattle.craigslist.org/....html

I think the price is extremely reasonable. I can not give you any input on the ride though or the difference in a 150 vs 175 performance on that boat. I have never riden in a 183. I think it is a sharp looking boat for the price though.

A no brainer! Buy it before it's gone.

55-59 MPH rig, big water waves not an issue, fishes stable.

I own one and love it no hesitation I would buy it again.

Just got off the phone with the shop. Going to take a look at it on sat. 10" plate on there. No hour meter, but is there a way to use a reader to take a look at the hours? If everything is kosher, will have my shop take a look at it next week. Then i just have to sell my boat.

I have to say that it is a very stable platform to fish from. It also has a crap load of storage. Easily fishes two in a T better than mine. Drive it, like it, and buy it. What else is there to say.

I have seen this boat in person several times. It started out in Bellingham, and sat at the dealer until a little over a year ago. It ended up in Mt. Vernon at a different dealer, then was apparently sold. Now it is back at a different dealer in Mt. Vernon.

Sharp boat, and is big for an 18 footer. I run a 181, and have had zero issues with rough water up here.

    Good luck

yeah, the owner has had it on consignment for a while. Talked with the shop that has it up for sale and asked about the fact that it was on the market last fall. All they knew is that they just got it on consignment about a week or so ago. So this will be the third shop....hope there is not a reason that it has been passed around a bit. We'll see tommorrow.

Just got off the phone with the owner. Less than 20 hrs on the motor...will have that verified. 10" slidemaster. He states that it is flawless. We will see tommorrow. Hope its not too good to be true. Im tired of running 38mph with 2 guys!
    Time for a real boat.

    did i mention

Cant say enough about the quality of boat. Boat looks brand new!!! Put my down payment on it, everything was what it should be. All i have to do is have my shop do a final inspection and i should be a member of the family by the end of the week. ran great with a 23p tempest + at 62 through a healthy chop. Not a big fan of the motorguide controls, but i can live with that for a while until i can pick up a used kota. Only problem i found was the livewell pumpout didnt pumpout...Shop is going to look into that. Otherwise..i am very happy. Ended up picking it up for 16300, bluebooked it last night at over 24k, so i am a happy dog right now.
