How often do you need to replace the ring, I am going through one or two a season,thats about 30-40hrs. Am running a Renegade 25 prop ,water pressure is 15-20 psi at WOT.Is this common.

Are you referring to the ring around the hub of the prop? May want to check with Mark's Propeller. I had him send me a metal ring for my trophy prop and it works fine and lasts forever. If you are referring to something else, please excuse my ignorance!
Sorry.I should of explaned it better. Yes the ring in the lower unit around the prop.
You have to use it with the Renegade props because of there smaller diameter.
Mine gets hot from the exhaust and the plastic melts,I would imagine that it is common.Just thought I would ask and see what others have to say.Thanks

Get a steel one thru Mark Croxton the Prop Guru.
On Marks, you have to send him the prop..............His installs on the Renegade itself. I sent him mine and it works like a charm.................It is aluminum if I am not mistaken..................................Roger

Hi guys, don't mean to interrupt but I just bought a new prop for my 1995 130 Johnson and it does not have this ring like my old prop.
Can I run without the ring or should I get one?

What prop did you buy, Claude... I'm running a Raker on mine and I don't need the weed ring...
The prop is a 14.8 by 17 aluminum sold by Bombardier, no make on it.

You will not need the "ring" on the Raker................You will on the "Renegade".............Raker is a 3 blade, Renegade is a 4 blade.
