It's made by BomBardier and it's called Evinrude/ Johnson gasket sealing compound Part Number :( 508235) found only at your local Rude/ Johnson dealer.
It's a special compound that does not dry or hardens, prevents corrosion and
withstands heat and pressure.

It's called Gel-Seal and it is a red jelly like substance. Comes in 2 sizes 2 and 4 ounce. 2 oz will work for you as you only are doing one motor. You only need a 1/4" bead on the mating surfaces, keep it away from the journals. Whatever you have left use on the long bolts that bolt into the block from the bottom this will seal the water passages. Use no sealer on the mating gasket from the PH to Mid and use gasket removing spray and a plastic scraper, on all surfaces that need to be cleaned. You can get that stuff at AZ, O'reilly, napa etc..
