Fished quite a bit differently yesterday than in the past few weeks. Swimjig bite was non existent. All the spots I was hammering them on in the past were dead as well. Ended up having my best luck on a chatterbait. Fished a long bank adjacent to the creek channel and picked a few up on some timber rows next to a creek line. Bite was pretty slow but the ones we caught were nice. Had 6 keepers (all before 10:00) that went about 13.5 lbs. Love fishing that lake but I'm ready for the river to return to "normal" so I can bet out on it

With the river being a mess I think that lake has been getting some pressure. But on the bright side the fish have matured since we starting fishing that a few years ago. I did pick up two keepers on the swim jig later in the day. two biggest though came on frog and plastics with another nice one on buzz bait early.

They're FINALLY growing up in there. Didn't think it was ever gonna happen. Started seeing a little consistency last year with them but this year the keepers are really starting to show up!
