Well, despite less than ideal conditions (record lows saturday night, high skies, and of course WIND), I had a pretty good time. Never caught anything big but I did have a few that may have kept. Most fish were the typical Belva Deer 12 to 14". Vast majority of bites came on Black and Blue Chatterbaits. Caught a few others on mouse, crank, worm, and rat-l-trap. Big difference from years past would be the weeds. The weeds seem to be really choking off most of the lake now. Could barely throw anything deeper than a minus -1. Entire lake is covered with thick weeds now. Most of my fish came in the refuge on the flats. Water was slightly stained and water temps were 77 to 79 degrees.
