    Larry Wins

Latest on my thumb.... I'm probably not going to be competitive this year, thereby giving Larry a free ride to the top of the standings. The doc said yesterday that he will probably do the surgery in roughly two months which will then of course have me out of commission another two months. Been nagging this guy to do the cutting since Christmas, but at the VA I guess I get what I pay for Currently have limited use and range of motion. Have developed a Ganglion Cyst over the joint which hampers movement even more. They've drained it with a needle twice (similar to fizzing a deep caught bass), but the doc finally admitted yesterday that they just need to go in and fix it. Guess those warnings are on ATVs are there for a reason

    Isn't it your left hand?
Does it interfere with you hold the reel or casting?

It's my left thumb, I palm my baitcasters. When I was at Table Rock last month I placed the knob of my spinning reel handle between my index and middle fingers to crank the handle. If there's a will there's a way. When we threw jerkbaits I had a lot of discomfort trying to hold the baitcaster and giving the bait action. Must have been an idiot bait because I was still able to catch em I was pretty fortunate this last round when they had me in a very small splint. Not sure how they will have it all bandaged up next time around.

Just padding my excuse for when Larry kicks my arse this year

Larry is the only guy for the last couple of years that has felt threatened enough by me to publicly state he was fishing only to beat me. To that end, I'm simply busting his balls.

Of note I did just receive a phone call from another angler who in my opinion is one of the BEST fishermen around who said that Larry is the least of my worries this year.

But just so it's out in the open, when I fall on my face this year, I have an excuse
