    Lower unit screws

Rusty I draines my lower unit yesterday and was wondering how tight do you tighten the screws, Oh and they are new drain plugs. I tightened them pretty tight but it seems like there is just a tad of grease comin out still ,not running out but if you place your finger over the screws there will be a small speck of oil thanks

    Re: Lower unit screws (tbones54)

You do have washers or o-rings (depending on which model) on the screws, right?

If yes, use a spray cleaner to remove the excess lube and see if it still leaks.

Snug will work, as snug as you can get them with a screwdriver.
