    Restoring my 96 210 cajun

I am in the process, about half way done of restoring my Cajun.
I told Al I would post it when its done, if he would like me to.

I sunk the cajun in a won bass tourny 3-4 years ago, which rotted the fron deck, so I decided to do the whole thing all over as in brand new. Gel coat decks, carpet, add a removable console, put a electronic dash on it ,bobs jack plate, hydraulic steering, new live well systems, new motor 2002 or newer, has new ranger seats, I just need to machine in new emblems, along with all new machines rod locker handles ( I own a machine shop), the whole 9 yards.
I feel safe in the boat, its slow even though it tops out at 60mph

hopefully we will be gel-coating this weekend at my shop as pretty much everything else is done.

The items I am desparetly looking for is an electronic dash system like what triton has in there tr-21's. I know ranger makes them and I am sure someone else makes them any ideas?
I am not worried about the wiring or anything else as I can do just about anything electronical. I need the parts ( I will buy them new not used)

so if anyone else knows where to get electronic dash parts ( any boat brand)please let me know. even if someone knows of a tritoon dealer that will answer my questions, and take the time to give me a price so I can write them a check or pay on a cc card.
I also had a guy working on making me a circuit board and membrain but 4 months later he still hasnt started. Which is understandable cause I only wanted 5 pieces( 4 extras) and they do high volume.

I need a schematic and the part numbers or even the part number schematic pictures and I can do the rest.

Oh yeah, the boat will be yellow and black ( the boy on the picture above's favorite colors) . The trailer is also being tricked out.
I figure why spend 60k on a new boat when I really like the canjun and its big plus its paid for.

Great boat and incredible background scenery. We just don't get that here in Florida. Anyhow, good luck with your restoration. I can't help with your search for parts other than telling you to take a look at http://www.surplusunlimited.com. They have extensive gagues and switches and their prices are great.
I am looking foreward to your posting of before, durring and after pictures. That's a really nice boat and definitely worth a restoration.

I dont know if all motor manufacturers make a similar system or not, but have you considered the Smart Craft system on newer "2002 on" Merc engines?? You can get an array of digital gauges I believe, that will hook right up to the smartcraft system.. Good luck and keep the pix coming!! Great looking boat and scenery in that pic! Storm is right, we just dont have that kind of scape here in Fl..

    Bluebill

Probally about 600 bucks maybe a tad more. it depends what colors you want.
    I am using gel-coat
Mine is going to be a darker yellow than canary yellow where the white is( like teh dark yellow triton uses) and black where the red is.
I am going with all solid colors , because I dont like metal flake and if it chips its a pain to match. when its all done and said just for the re-gel coat on teh boat including fiberglass for the floors and all the sand paper and stuff. I am guessing it will be around 1200 bucks. the boat is 21 foot. Its pretty much completely striped only one tank I havent pulled out yet.

    Perfect storm
Thanks for the link I will check it out.
, Thats what is nice about AZ is the scenery is really pretty, it would have been a better picture iof I took it last year when the background was cover in snow . Ive been fortunate and lived in Japan when I was a kid for 15 years and then to the states. Ive been to every state in the USA , as far as scenery nothing beats Arizona, as far as fishing I would rather be back in the northwest, but only because I like to fish for gay bass aka Trout. Az has some huge bass and you can fish year round so thats a plus.

The guages are not a problem , and it depends on what outboard I run as to what guages I get. I really like the ranger silver finish guages. ,
what I want is the electronic parts for the dash board. Live well on off lights on off etc. The tritons have a really nice set up. push once for right once for left and again for both then push again and its off( for the live wells on recirculat fill and drain)

    Thanks

Try C and O Marine or BassBoatCarpet. Both carry dashes, bezels, and accessories.

    Re: Restoring my 96 210 cajun (perfect-storm)

Updates, not really just getting everything ready for gel-coat and waiting on some parts ordered to come it.

I am ordering the triton digital panels from a guy in CA $550 Ouch.
I got a ton of pics but they are jumbled and not in order yet.
heres a link to a few pics that I snapped while tearing things off
    http://www.azbasszone.com/foru...=1577

its the boaring update right now though, sanding and fixing a few dings in the fiberglass and tearing a few more things out.
hey if you want to come and help .......... lol
I have another month to 2 months anyhow, I work on it as I get time at the shop

I still can't understand why you cut up such a beautiful boat. Ok maybe it was worse than it looked in the pics. Anyhow, I'm looking foreward to more of the pics of the work in progress and the finished product.
