1. bake your jigs at @ 400deg
2. after @ 10-15 minutes dip them.. be sure the powder if "fluffy" it should instantly get glossy looking, if it is dull, the jig is not hot enough yet..
3. bake again for about 5 minutes..
4. take out and dip in cold water, then let cool/dry for at least an hour..
5. go fish..
here's my method and I fish in a river full of rocks and never have chipping.....ProTech works great
heat head with propane torch.........this will take some practice to get the right temp, powder should melt in 4-5 seconds
shake the jar of ProTech to loosen the powder first.........keeping it loose is CRITICAL
dip it, swish back and forth for coverage, shake off the excess, and let it hang, yes we're still talking about jig heads here![]()

knock out the eyes........DO NOT FORGET TO DO THIS BEFORE BAKING![]()
bake in oven at whatever temp the instructions say to on the jar.........ALL COLORS DO NOT REQUIRE THE SAME TEMPERATURE/TIME![]()

That's exactly how I do it. jclark408 has the way to cure them!! Clear the eyes, then hang them in a cheap toaster oven. I let them bake for 25 minutes at 250-300. I lose them before the paint ever thinks about chipping.
