Well, here is Rev 3 of that video. Yes, in the first five minutes there is a brief flash of him pushing the boat off shoals. What I noticed between v2 and v3, was less fish catching and more post-win interviews.

Some rules listed under BPT that may have affected the editing.

3.j. Anglers must operate their boats at a safe speed and in a safe manner at all times.
12.c. Anglers must be mindful of their boat’s speed at all times and must operate their boats in a safe manner. Violations of speed limits posted by state or local lake authorities may result in an angler losing competition time and may lead to disqualification.
    18. COMPETITORS MUST REMAIN IN BOAT:

    a. During the event days, MLF Anglers cannot leave the boat to make the boat more accessible to fishing waters. If the boat becomes lodged while attempting to gain access into fishable water, the MLF angler can leave the boat without penalty to attempt to dislodge. If the angler does dislodge the boat (by pushing) into the area they were attempting to enter, they must immediately exit this area. The MLF angler can continue to attempt access into such area, however, if access is accomplished it must be done so while the angler was inside the boat.

At the 20:18 mark that is the owner of Gator Trax boat waiting to congratulate Keith. Plus that's him standing on the deck of the boat in the picture of the video. I'm sure it happens and we don't see it but how often do you think the owner of your primary sponsor is there to congratulate you on a win right when they are getting ready to hand you the trophy. to the people at Gator Trax. Keith is a good representative to showcase what your product is all about. Plus he is a good down to earth family man and from what I see Gator Trax shares the same values and work ethic.

I would assume Gator Trax was already at the Classic and just drove over from there

Wonder if he keeps his hands on the boat if that is considered in the boat. I know when they retrieve a lure as long as one foot remains touching they are in the boat.

I saw an angler leave the boat, get on a dock, walk down the dock and retrieve his lure.

Perfectly legal to leave your boat to get a lure off a dock.

I always thought they had to stay in the boat to do this or just break it off?

What about leaving your boat to gas it up and pay your bill like in the Classic?

MLF allows them to get on docks to catch/land fish. I think KP was the first one to do it, on camera at least.

I don't know the MLF rules but I do recall seeing more than one angler leave the boat. Wasn't it Jeff Kriet that stripped down to his under shorts and dove down in water that was 6-7 ft deep to retrieve a bass that was tangled in some underwater brush. I'm also thinking I saw Andy Montgomery leave the boat and get onto a boat dock to retrieve a bass that was wrapped in a cable. I'm also thinking I saw another angler leave the boat to retrieve a lure from a dock. I cant recall who it was but I do recall them making fun of themselves in the two minute penalty saying they need to work on their casting skills. If my memory is correct all three instances was a 2 minute penalty.

Man, from how high he had that motor trimmed, the engine must have been starved for water. He must be changing out water pump impellors daily to keep that thing alive.

He has water pickups mounted on the boat itself I believe. I remember him talking about that in the video he did about his boat.

How does that work? Supply hoses would get in the way during operation it seems?
