Wonder if he keeps his hands on the boat if that is considered in the boat. I know when they retrieve a lure as long as one foot remains touching they are in the boat.

I saw an angler leave the boat, get on a dock, walk down the dock and retrieve his lure.

Perfectly legal to leave your boat to get a lure off a dock.

I always thought they had to stay in the boat to do this or just break it off?

What about leaving your boat to gas it up and pay your bill like in the Classic?

MLF allows them to get on docks to catch/land fish. I think KP was the first one to do it, on camera at least.

I don't know the MLF rules but I do recall seeing more than one angler leave the boat. Wasn't it Jeff Kriet that stripped down to his under shorts and dove down in water that was 6-7 ft deep to retrieve a bass that was tangled in some underwater brush. I'm also thinking I saw Andy Montgomery leave the boat and get onto a boat dock to retrieve a bass that was wrapped in a cable. I'm also thinking I saw another angler leave the boat to retrieve a lure from a dock. I cant recall who it was but I do recall them making fun of themselves in the two minute penalty saying they need to work on their casting skills. If my memory is correct all three instances was a 2 minute penalty.
