Hey gang, was on the lake Sunday and noticed my volt meter started jumping around erractially. Then it just pegged at around 18 volts. WTH??

Check for loose/corroded connections, no wing nuts on the battery- hex nuts and lockwashers only and check battery for bad cell or no water. Hook a digital voltmeter to the battery and compare reading to the dash meter. If all check out, then the EMM may be faulty.
