Having a problem with the motor shutting down. Runs great until it gets hot out side (afternoon) and then it shuts down and to get it too restart you have to pump the bulb to get fuel back to the engine and sit in the shade it seems. Have replaced the bulb, fuel filter, have a fuel water seperator on the boat. Out of ideas of what is causing it, its annoying because I can't trust it while its shutting down alot. No warnings are going off when it shuts down.

replaced the added fuel water seperator, the old one on the boat appeared to be bent, and the rubber gasket was way too big. Hoping that was the problem, the bulb stays hard now, guess we'll find out next weekend. Sound logical? Figure it would let air into the system and the rubber would get looser when it gets hot. Yay, nay?

Subscribing, as I have had something really, really similar happen to me once. Very hot and humid day to when it did it. Almost like vapor lock or something with the fuel lines. Cool off a bit, and it's fine.

I had the exact same problem and it was my CPU (I know you didn't want to hear that) but it was, in fact I could run about 10 miles and it would just shut off, I let it sit about 20-30 minutes it would fire up and run another 2-3 miles and down again .... repeat but it started taking longer and longer to restart. I took it in and they said CPU was bad and required a new one (reman) they installed and I was good to go. Only thing is I had to send mine in so they could transfer data to the reman so everything was kept in order.
I know you don't want to hear that but you need to have it put on diagnostic machine to ensure what it is exactly.
