    Where to fish @ AMISTAD

Staying at Anglers Lodge Nov 8th thru the 12th, What boat ramp should we put in at? And any pointers for fishing this monster? What would be the best pattern down there? And what baits? If you like you can IM me with gps #. Really would like to put my buddy from Missouri on some big fish. I plan on taking a lot of pictures also. All advise appreciated. Thanks, Les Ems

I would suggest putting in at Black Brush if you don't want to climb that hill at Diablo East. You can park within 100 feet of the ramp there.

With the lake full to the brim, it's a whole new lake to most everyone. Some are having a really tough time and some are finding some great fish right now.

Shoot me an email and I'll fill you in on a spot I sent a couple two weeks ago. They had a 10, some 8's and several 4 and 5 pounders.

Get ahold of CJ at Anglers Lodge, he will tell you where the fish are at and what they are hitting on, plus he has a pretty good tackle store at the lodge, and the cheeseburgers are really good.

I wouldn't totally comit to any fall patterns down there quite yet just cause its still a little warm. But they may be in transitionI F you can find grass try to fish that if the lake is full, the grass may be drown but its so clear It may still be OK...I had some good success in the Evans creek area I believe it was called....US side

Les for a launch ramp I like Deablo East or the AirForce ramp. There are several places around Deablo East. Look for brush in flats around 5' to 8' whit a drop off in the 12' range. Senko's 4" or 5" in watermelon/red have worked best for me. I have also done good on pearlwhite Super Flukes. If you launch at Black Brush and the lake is up then be careful and make sure your in the cut going out. If you need any more help send me an IM are email and I'll give you a call.

The very back of Evans creek has been good to us in the past at this time of year.
