I watch the weather if I take it on a longer trip when the top is off.

What amazes me the most is the people who will buy a $13,000 oversized side-by-side to hunt/play with when they could buy an older 4x4 wrangler that would actually have heat, windshield wipers, etc while also being road legal.

BRAVO !! Almost EXACTLY the words I used when someone asked me why/how I ended up with my 1st cherokee (and now I have 2), but I haven't hunted (or fished) in a few years due to work and other annoyances.....I still DD it tho.

I have changed the suspension so it rides a lot better too as part of the lift I have on it.

I am glad you hold me in such high opinion. I am on my third, the last two were highly modified for offroad use. This one will likely only get upgraded axels in the future,

I sold my Jeep a few years ago and have regretted it ever since. I’d never own one as my primary vehicle they’ve always been just an extra toy for me. I love Jeeps and building them to how I like.

They are having a surprise benefit for a terminally ill boy here in Raleigh that started this morning. He had a bucket list wish to ride in a Jeep with the top off and be standing up in the back seat with the wind in his face. The short news clip i just saw showed several jeeps parked there in a parking lot and lots of people there donating and raising money for the young man and his family. Great people do drive/own Jeeps!!! Absolutely wondErful!!

Its just like everything now. Everyone wants to have a rugged tough image. Cowboy boots with scuffs made on them. Expensive cerakote jobs on guns to make them looks "battleworn". "Antiqued" rustic furniture that costs more than regular new furniture. New Jean's with holes. Lifted heavy duty trucks that have never towed or been offroad a single time. People want to appear rough now but us rough type of folks get looked down upon lol.

Can't haul anything inside them, not even a one piece fishing rod.

With all that said, I wouldn't mind having one for myself They just have the cool factor.
    Get the new Jeep pickup.

Aren't the new loaded ones like $60K? Absolutely crazy for a Jeep with half the capabilities of a full size half ton

Might want to rethink that.....the towing capacity is right up there with 1/2 tons

you mean mid size trucks. A jeep gladiator sport with tow pack is right around 7500 lbs towing if I remember correct. Most all half tons are in the 10k to 12.5k range

I dont get the fascination at all, just flat out not interested in owning one....I feel the same way about a Harley, but hey....if you want it go for it...just something I have absolutely zero interest in owning.

I wouldn’t mind having one to play in but definitely wouldn’t want it for an everyday driver. Never have understood the cost of them and that’s why I don’t have one.

We bought one, a 4 door. It’s a cruiser and a second vehicle. Drove it all the way to Colorado and rides real nice. The older ones didn’t ride well, these newer ones are slick and the 3.6L v6 is real nice as well. Good mileage for a lifted 4x4 at 17 mpg going 80. I can’t complain and most of all it’s nice to ride around with the top off and relax. I also have an F250, it’s my daily and boat hauler so the Jeep is a toy.

Me and my wife looked at a Glafiator today. Was the Sport which is more of a base model. 47k dollars.
Absolutely ridiculous. For 8-10k more I can buy a loaded out half tom that would put pull the hell out of it.
60k for a gladiator is obscene. I wil buy my wife a half ton first. I could add a lift kit and tires and still be below that price.

Yes you could, However, it still wouldn't be a Jeep.
I drive my f250 95% of the time, but when you're in need of a top down, doors off ride in a Jeep, nothing else can scratch that itch.

Dang. I’d get that over a UTV for 15k!!

Jeeps are not made for pulling /towing. They are made for riding on and off road.

Had one as a loaner for a day while my new truck was having some things added. That thing sucked, uncomfortable, rode bad, noisy.....
