    heat soak fix for me....

    I was talking to a person at work who builds outboards and he told me to try a small inlive fuel pump (2psi) wired in to my ignition and remove my buld. i tried it this morning and did not have a problem at all. It worked great.bty the heat index today at noon was 113deg and i fished until 1p without a hickup.

    You have reduced draw side vaporlock problem because you are pushing fuel now.
    make sure there is a way for the fuel pump to cut off in case of an accident. These are safety's widely used in autos.

    Better remember that the use of that Automotive fuel pump is not USGC approved.

    i will post some pics on mon or tues. i just want to use it for the hot months of the summer and when the weather cools i will just put my bulb back on.

    heatsoak? vaporlock ? whatever terminology, sounds as though you have a temproary fix. So, do this -know how to access your pickup tube? if you have already ? tell us or show us what you find please. No need to have additional gadgets and complexities to make your boat go.

    I fixed my summer time heat soak issues by running 87 octane..225 carbed motor
