    Longmire

Any of you guys ever fish Longmire? I was trying to decide between giving it a shot on Saturday or going to Konawa. I hear it can be pretty good.

    Re: Longmire (J Steele)

i've fished longmire 3 times in the last 2 years, couldn't buy a bite. I'm not saying it's dead, but sure seemed like it when I was there. You know at one time there was grass and clean water. Now all i fished on my last outings was nasty mud water and no grass. There is def. something going on with that lake. At one time I can remember it taking 25lbs. on paper tourneys there. I'd personally head to konowa out of the two. Where are you located, there might even be some better options

Konawa should be awesome now we was there 2 weeks ago had about 12 lbs. Are you pre fishing for a tournament or just fun fishing?

Hafta, Im' in Shawnee. Justin, I'm just fun fishing this weekend. I haven't been since I got back from Falcon last month so I'm just trying to get on the water. I will probably just go to Konawa this time. Although I hear Okemah lake is good also. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Longmire is closed. The boat ramps were blocked off, too low.

you can fish alone, it's at okemah lake, look at the listing at the top of the oklahoma boards forum. It's in my post under Okemah Opens

Where is everyone going this weekend? I thought about hitting Thunderbird. THere's two tournaments on Arbuckle Saturday and one on Sunday so I'm not going down there.....Konowa may be a option....only fished it once and never got bit, but the weather didn't help either....supposed to be warm and windy so may find someplace out of the big 30mph south wind.

I think I'm gonna hit Konawa tomorrow. They should be moving up into the cattails soon if not already. I'll be in a red and white triton with a jacked up white chevy pulling it if anyone else is there.
