Reel seat separation is a known manufacturing defect with some NRX rods. The wild card is designed to be used when you break the rod and it's your own fault as mentioned above. It's a one time, once per rod, replacement. Your issue is a manufacturers defect and will therefore be covered under the warranty. Obviously, you can use the wild card for any reason you like, if you could only get your dealer to honor it! I'm really surprised that Cabelas won't accept the wild card considering that you purchased the rod from them and they're Loomis dealers, that's very bad form on their part. The Tackle Trap honors wild cards from customers who've purchased rods from us no questions asked...
