I think Seahorse is on Vacation and he seems to know mechanics all over the place. Since, I don't know anyone over by you, all I can suggest is that you use the dealer search feature on Evinrude's site. Here's the link.

If you don't mind driving 5-6 hrs, you could probably take it to John from IL on this site. Other then Seahorse, he might be able to suggest a dealer closer to you.
