padded carpet

Anyone here ever installed padding under the carpet? How does it hold up? What kind of adhesive works best?

I have not installed this brand, as mine boat came with it installed on just the center lids where you stand most often. I can say that even with more traffic on the padded areas, you cannot see a difference in the wear pattern from padded to unpadded deck after 6 years of use.
