200 johnson question

Ok I have a 1999 200 johnson carb. mod#J200PLEEB ser#G04541969 a friend has a 2000 model 225 ho carb with a hole in the piston. not sure which one but I was thinking of buying it for parts. Will the starter,lower unit or anyother parts interchange? sorry no numbers for 225 also he said the lower unit was new and thought it was called a lightning or something like that
