    OMG Another Powerpack Down

    1995 150 Evinrude E150GLEOM , Serial# G03754236
Just as I was gaining some faith in this engine (see my previous posts for all the elctronics I've replaced this year) Regulator replacement went well last weekend and I was back to charging.

Problem: Port 3 cylinders not firing, it happened coming in from the day's fishing, ran fine accross the lake (~10 mins @ 3500-4500 RPM) then when slowed down into the harbour it gave a surge, then dropped back to normal, then another surge but this time it stuck running rough, and if you tried to rev it a little bit (it would just rev as if the prop hub was spun - same behaviour as last time the pp went out)

I was convinced the new stator had solved this 'spike' problem or whatever was blowing these packs. Now, I'm at a loss.

    Any ideas?

Don't overlook the possibility of a shift switch sticking or out of adjustment causing one bank not to have spark. OMC changed the switch ignition cutout from the stb. bank to the port bank sometime back then. I can't remember if your '95 was included or not.

Argh, switch checks out OK. It would likely reset itself upon engine restart tho, correct? Shifted in & out of neutral a couple of times and the problem is still existant.
