    Hot Foot cable

Is there a way to lube the cable on my hotfoot? I noticed it was sticking the last time I was out and I know its due to lack of age and usage. Or is it easier to just purchase a new cable?

I can pull the peddle back easily enough, just think over time its gotten grime, etc in it. Have no issue buying a new one, just finding where I can get one is another story. May have to reach out to some of the local dealerships I guess.

One night after dropping me and another guy off at the ramp to get the trailer in the water my buddy decides to blow his motor out. It had started acting stupid after carrying three of us all over the lake. All of a sudden he's headed straight for us at over 60mph and then nearly turns the old Stratos on its side barely missing the ramp, a rock point, and a dock. His hotfoot cable had stuck. He learned two things that night. One was to make sure the cable was in good working order ALWAYS and also it's literally impossible to flip an '86 Stratos 179v.

Is that small spot with someone already on it really worth finding out the hard way they don't like company? Keep it a mystery and go somewhere else.
