Have a 1992 150hp Intruder that is in great shape, runs WOT with no problems. Problem is this: It cranks fine early in the morning and as stated runs great but when you go into a creek and/or lake and fish for a while (motor is usually slightly tilted due to stumps, shallow water, etc.) it will crank up on first try but when you put it into gear and start idling out it will go dead. You have to give it more gas than you would like when trying to idle back to river. Idle in neutral is around 1000 rpms and it only goes dead when you put it in gear. Once you give it some gas and get it moving at a high idle it does fine. More of a nuissance than a real problem but would like to get it corrected. Motor has good compression and has been recently decarbed. Thanks for the input.
