This is turning out to be a tough one.
1994 150 intruder wont idle. The mechanic is good but doesn't see v-6s. The symptoms are that it runs great at higher rpm but at idle it dies. Its like the engine vacuum cant pick up the fuel. But if you take the cover off and hold you hand over the carburetor it tries to suck it in.

The carburetors have been gone over and they check out.
The orange gasket has been replaced.
The vapor separator cover and gasket has been replaced

Fresh gas this year. I have two 25 gallon fuel tanks and am running off the new gas.

I had the same problem last year (with the addition of smoke last year and to get by I would have to hit the primer at the right time to keep the engine running. Right when it was winterized the vapor separator gasket and cover were replaced.

This spring first time out it fired off, backed off the trailer without any hesitation (getting on and off trailer was a real headache last year) ran long enough to get to the dock and then died. During the day it became worse and eventually would barely run at idle even with hitting the primer. This is the same thing as last year but no smoke.

What next???? Its spring and I cant fish!
