The only way to know for sure is to have the engine placed on the Computer Diagnostic System (or, if you had a Smartcraft Instrument, such as the MercMonitor, you could look at the "Fault" data to determine what fault was occuring).
Ssimpala is right.... more than likely, you have a thermostat sticking open. This is something you'll want to address right away.... as it can prevent your engine from coming up to operating temperature (and potentially be a cause of major failures).![]()

I had same problem with my 08 200 Opti......With the low water pick ups in the nose of the lower unit it tends to pick up unwanted debre from time to time. That is why I bought a Smartcraft monitor from European marine (Don). That way I can monitor my Temp.......I also sent you a IM to help you out![]()
