Well KState didn't fare to well this week. Casey and Cole finished in the top 10 out of 41. Josh and I hit a stump in practice on Monday. Well it took until Thursday after we jumped a 3 to 4 foot roller that our boat caught enough air to let the motor rap out and spin the bearings in the lower unit. 2 hours into day one we were a sitting duck in the middle of a flat with 30 mile an hour winds. So we got to spend the 2 days fishing marinas under TM power. Alot of fun.
On the up side our TM started to act up at the end of day one. We got to run a new 19 ft Z series Comanche with the Etec courtesy of Ranger. Only problem was we had to agree to fish the marina and not get out on the main lake. Four lower units got ate up on that first day.
Sadly we were pretty lucky compared to one of the Purdue teams. Brand spanking new TR21 with a 250 Merc was fishing the dam in the wind and two consecutive 4 ft rollers came over the back. Electronics shorted out and without a big motor trolling motor they got thrown into the rocks and the boat was completely submerged. To top it off the boat had been a loaner to them from a dealer.
