What application do you use braided line for? I don't want to waste it since it cost so much. I thought about putting it on my jig rod, what are your thoughts?

I don't use braid much personally mainly because it does not do well in rocks and most of the lakes around here are very rocky lakes. Rocks just chew it up in no time.
I have braid on my c-rig and a jig rod that I use for fishing thick cover.
I used it on a c-rig rod a couple years ago and it did ok. I use it when frog fishing. I was watching something one time and Denny Brauer said he rarely uses mono anymore. He said if he's flipping in dirty water he uses 65lb braid and 25lb fluorocarbon when it's clearer for what his opinion is worth.
I use braid on almost everything.. I can tip it with any other type of line... the braid will last and last and last and I can make a small roll of any other line last and last and last.. I fish drop shot alot and I use 8-12 lb braid tipped with what ever I like 6-12 ld floro works great.. frog fishing, just about any top water.. flippin..anything you might want a slower fall on, because it floats..the list goes on and on...
Live life, its the only one you get!
You don't scare me.
I use fireline on my C-rig, looks like i will try the braid on my jig rod. Thanks for all the information.
Wow jerk baits really? I would think that you would be pulling off a lot of fish doing that. I use it for jig fishing in off colored water or carolina rigging because of the sensitivity.

Use spider wire on spinnerbaits. Works good on Ky and Barkley flipping them into the bushes.
