    Astro/MagicTilt alum trailer

I have a Astro F18 with a aluminum magic tilt trailer. I noticed that the tongue weight was light and after reading the post on how to measure the weight with a bathroom scale I gave it a shot. My trailer tongue weight weighed 90lbs. The trailer does not sway on the highway but I can feel it pull up and down on the truck. I moved the winch stand a few inches closer to the truck, its as far as it will go now. I checked the weight again and I gained 10lbs, now I am at 100 lbs on the tongue. I think the boat can move up two or three inches closer to the winch stand, I did not want to crank too hard on the winch to pull the boat up. I will put it back in the water and move the boat all the way up and test the weight again. I have read about the ratio used for boat/trailer and gear weight compared to the tongue weight but I have no idea what my boat weighs.

Any thoughts on the weight of my boat,

    Re: Astro/MagicTilt alum trailer (subfrontier)

take it to a scale and get it weighed. You can find one usually at feed stores that deal in bulk feeds, or use a certified truck scale. At least you will know for sure just what your rig weighs.
