Ranger owners Help

Hey I'm posting for a friend, he is getting ready to replace carpet.
He has an '88 Ranger 364
The question is how to replace the carpets on the lids? It has carpet on the top, then down the side and then it looks like the carpet goes between a white insert on the under side of the lid and the outside of the lid? Did I say that right? Do you remove the latch and hinge and an insert panel comes out or is it just the way it looks?

netweid the lid doesn't come apart. I just re-carpeted my 361 ranger last winter. The hardest part of the job was pushing the carpet between the inner & outer part of the lids. Just email me at jbrewer@frostburg.edu and I will try and help you out. - DC
