Fish are holding in their normal winter pattern. Air temp started at 46 around 11 and ended up at 50 around 3:30. Water temp varied from 47.1 in the deeper part to 48.5 on the north side of the lake. Marked a lot of fish in the north east corner by the dam, but they appeared to be all small white bass. Had them chase a crank bait all the way to the boat.
Went to the timber and fished the road bed with no results. Started at the creek bed and worked my way into the timber. Marked a lot of fish in the deep water holding any where from 10 ft to the bottom mainly holding near structure. Tried crankbaits, sweet beavers, tubes and finally went to a shad colored swimming jig with a 4" shad colored grub. Had a few bumps and picked up one about 2 lbs. Bite was soft, fishing it slow of the structure with an occasional slow raising the rod and letting it flutter back down keeping the line tight and in contact with the jig as it falls.
Only the south ramp is open right now and Mary is there on the weekends from 11 til 2:30 selling season passes.
Kenny was supposed to go to Draper on Saturday, I'll bug him at work to post a fishing report tomorrow.
