Slow bite all afternoon until about 3:00 then it turned on. Seen a lot of fish hitting topwater in the timber at the west end but couldn't connect. Went to the cove across from the notrh ramp and started picking them up around the tree stumps. Best bite was on a Gene Larew Mega Ring Shad in dark watermelon fish weightless t-rig (my go-to when the bite is slow here). Kind of a slow, twitching retrieve with pauses on the back side of the tree and just after it crosses in front. When they nailed it, did a quick hook set, oterwise you'll hook them deep. Caught about a dozen or so, with the biggest at 4 lb 2 oz as measured on the digital de-liar.
White bass are hitting on the west end on just about anything. White Bandit 100 and 200 worked well on the old road bed.
