Went out yesterday just to try and catch one of these things. (Mike C has been decimating the population) I caught four, and this was the biggest of the bunch.
The trick for me was to get all the way in the back of the weed mat with high tide water and burn a 1/2 oz white spinnerbait over the submerged grass. I even caught a few largeheads by accident.
You going to add that to your fish fry????
I don't think so.
They were all dispatched and left on the bank for the coons.
Damn Mike that's a big one!!
Note to self next weekend for the Region Classic, don't throw 1/2 oz spinnerbait!!

How big do them things get ? That thing looks about 36 in. long
Not sure how big they get but I'm 6'1" that one was pretty hefty.
I heard thay are supposed to get into the 20's for weight, with the really big girls going upper 20's. vdgif officals say the potomac is perfect and are predicting a world record one day.
