    20i compartment lock problem

Here we go again!!! The rear electronic compartment lock pin popped up and won't stay down, it appears the magnet won't hold it down. I put a piece of duct tape on it as a temporary fix but that didn't work and now I can't get the lid open. To top it off; now all of a sudden none of the lock pins will engage when I set the code but the alarm (siren) sets fine.

I took it to the dealer yesterday (112 miles) and they can't get it open either. They asked me to leave it but I need it so I couldn't. Anybody got any suggestions on how to get the rear lid open???

    John.

there should be a default code that unlocks everything, your original code from the dealer, also if one lid is not functioning properly, none of the lids will lock so that you know its not working, another default thing. what year is the boat, my 06 hasn't been updated yet and it has never worked properly, my boat is going back to skeeter over the winter for the hull mod and i am going to have them fix it then.

oh and a 28oz claw hammer will open it and make the dealer replace the latch and handle after that, you had to get your keys out right, not your fault it doesn't work.

The hull modification is for a lot of the 06' I-class boats. It will correct the bouncing in turns and purposing problem at slow speeds. It is a night and day difference for my boat. If you are not having those problems than you may be ok.

    John:
I strongly recommend that you get the hull mod. My boat performs so much better since I had it modified. The mod is applicable to most, if not all of the 06 models. They corrected the problem by changing the mold in the 07 models.

It will have to be sent back to TX to get the mods though. Mine was modified and returned within 3 weeks. Call Darby at Skeeter and talk to him about it or ask your Dealer.
