The mysterious beep right after startup

The past two trips I have only plugged my charger in for about 5-10 minutes while I prepped
the gear and hooked up. I have had no beep after the cold start. When I'd leave the charger hooked up for a couple days; I'd get that short beep almost every time.

    Just thought it was interesting.

This is just a short beep immediately as the engine fires. It was determined that it might be a harmless overspeed or voltage fault. It only does it on the first start. Just an observation that it only seems to do it when i've had he onboard charger plugged in for a prolonged period of time.

There's been some discussion here regarding it being an overspeed vs inadequte voltage at startup due to a non-approved battery. My batter is a Deka on the approved list.

Just posting as an FYI. I will provide a fault history when I get that done....whenever that may be.

There is the beep prior to starting when the key is turned on.N that is normal just as you said.

The beep I'm referring to is after that and is a split second as the engine fires. There have been a few posts about it.

10-4...sorry for the confusion. I know if i turn the key and start the motor quickly, the beep will happen as I'm firing the motor. Good luck and again, sorry to cause any confusion.

It's got more to do with a change in ambient temperature... usually only occurs on cold starts below 70 degrees (when adequate battery voltage is present).
