I have a 98 225 3.0 w/ a warning beep. It throws the oil light on when it does this but I know it is getting oil (marked the tank while running) The engine does not have to be running. After I turn the key to on (not start) 30 seconds or so it will go through a series of 4 beeps and do this every couple minutes I tried a new oil sensor in the kidney tank under cowl and that did not fix it. Any thoughts ? Thanks Rod

The warning beep you described will be EITHER low oil level in the engine mounted tank (this would also include a faulty sensor in the tank, or an issue with the float in the tank itself)....

Water in Fuel.
Most likely is the engine mounted oil tank. They will sometimes swell, preventing proper movement of the float (which is hidden inside the tank). New tank- new sender- usually solved.
