What do you all think these floods are going to do to the spawn this year?

I'm hoping their bodies absorb the eggs right now and try again later......![]()
I know that last year when Barren did this that the bass spawn was phenomenal. The biologist told me that he has never seen it better. The fry had tons to eat and lots of hiding places. They were shocking up young of the year fish that were 10" long last October! The average is 4.5"!!
Seems to made the CARP go NUTS they were ALL over the banks Sat at DH.

If the water draw down is slow enough it will be great. Some of the fish have spawned already and some were just about ready before the water came up, while there are alway some that don't spawn until nearly June. There are so many bass in all the younger age classes right now that a smaller than average spawn probably wouldn't have much effect on the lake.

it will be great, unless they jerk the water out too fast and leave the eggs high and dry .

As long as the water will be up on Nolin and Rough at least the spawn will probably be TOO good.

Seen that lots of times and it usually comes back and haunts us, but as Scott said we have such a great supply of small fish right now i agree it might not hurt so bad.
