2006 Etec 225 HO RPM range

Got a new to me 2006 Champion 210 over the holidays with a 225 etec ho. Currently propped with a 25 Renegade, starts chinewalking bad about 65 mph, 5300 RPM's. Motor is all the way down, raising it should help with walk. I'm assuming WOT on this motor is 5600? Can't find the lit on a 2006 model. Thanks!

Operating range 4500 t0 5800 RPM's, 5500 - 5600 optimun so prop it for that. You should be able to turn that "Gade" higher than that! What is your propshaft to pad? Should be close to 2.5 below pad.

Thanks Daniel. I wasnt out of RPM's, just out of "intestinal fortitude". The motor was still pulling but the chinewalk was just hard to deal with. I just got the boat, and the motor is all the way down on the jackplate. I'm going to install a 10" hydraulic this weekend and I know that will help the "walking" once I get the motor height raised. I'll start at the 2.5" you reccommend and go from there. Thanks!
