    Wire tying jig skirts question

I don't make jigs but I have some with the rubber collar that I want to redo with wire. Also have a bunch of jig heads that I want to put skirts on. What size wire do you use? How do you wrist the wire up tight....by hand or is there a tool you use? thanks for any help.

Re: Wire tying jig skirts question (21XDC)

i bought the wire from walmart in the craft department, and just use a pair of regular slip joint pliers to twist it and a small pair of diagonal cutters to cut it off. i just wrap it around the skirt once and twist it till its tight and cut off the ends and bent the twisted piece over.
