Spent the night in the hospital.

Well learned another valuable lesson. Yesterday afternoon at about 6pm I meet up with a great guy and purple heart vet to hit belton and put him on some fish. getting ready to launch I hopped out barefoot in the shallows to pull the boat up so he didnt have to get his feet wet. Well next thing I know I hear something slicing into my left foot. As a I raise my foot to see the damage the water all around turns red. Had a great cut about 1 1/2in long and all the way to the bones. I quicly applied a pressure bandage and then wrapped and secured it. Well I said screw it and we went ahead and fished until about 830. We were on a few fish but they would only take my offerings. ended up with 6, 3 being keepers. I can honestly say it was the worst pain ever in my life getting that thing injected with a big ole neddle. Doc said I picked a great spot cause only the groin is more painfull .

Skip, actually Ive never had vicodine or any thing past tylenol 3's. And I really do see these vicodines doing any more than tylenol.

Gotta love them beer bottled (edit).....get better bud....lesson learned let him get his feet wet next time....sux that happened tho......I've actually tried to talk with alot of the BASS clubs around here and seeing if they wanted to do a lake conservation thing and pick up some ofthe trash around Stillhouse n Belton.... but alot of them don't want too.....bottled probaly belonged to one of them.....get better take them meds....

Thats a good cut! I send alot of time picking up glass and trash from the lakes I hit. It's amazing the amount of trash that people leave when they fish or are out.

it is crazy that the needle is always the worst part.

I had 2 bad cuts on my arm and the worst part was the pain killer, it burns horribley when being injected.

Belton should keep getting better between now and then.

January is my favorite time of the Year on Belton. Cold nasty days cause those smallies to go nuts. It seems like every year I loose a monster out there.
