Live on the Alabama side of the river, Alabama does not tax milatary retirement, so I was told by some "bama" dewds.

There are a few states that don't tax mil retirement pay, tx, fl, nh, ak, nv.....
Recon, I know about the AL side not taxing Military retirement, but I have found some great deals on a couple of homes in GA. I was wondering what the tax % was (on military retirement) so I can kind of figure out my monthly income.
Every state should be TAX free for Military/Retired Military just out of respect. When I was on active duty and had NC (home for me) as my home of records, I was paying almost twice as much in state tax than I was in federalTax and did not even live in the state.
