I have had it up to my eyebrows with sparkplugs. I started off to index my plugs. I have a set of new plugs I bought a couple of months ago but 2 of them wont index correctly so I called oriellys only to find out that the champions QC12PEP are no longer available so I tried to get the alternate QC10WEP but they have to be ordered out of florida. so the local dealer made some calls and told me that the QC10PEP would work. help guys. I need to know can I use these plugs or not. thanks.

Who said that QC12 PEP plugs were not available?

Only use those or the alternate QC10WEP plugs according to the factory.

IF you had 2 plugs that wouldn't index, then they will work fine on the opposite bank of cylinders.

I tried to get the QC12PEP through oriely auto parts. I have gotten them there in the past. they told me champion has discontinued the QC12PEP and replaced it with some 957 plug. I tried through my local boat dealer and was told that they have a hard time getting them and couldnt even order them anymore. she did have the QC12PEPB but that plug is for the 115 and 175 motors. she checked for service bulletins to see if anything had been released and she couldnt find anything. the certified evinrude tech at the dealership told her that the QC10PEPB would work in my motor. the QC10WEP plugs are only available through special order. the 2 plugs wont index correctly in either side. but maybe I am indexing them wrong. I tried to follow the proceeder listed in this forum but it is not really clear for the 90 degree v6 motor. any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks I appreciate the info I was also able to find them on sparkplugs.com it comes down to a timeing issue. I am due to leave town in 3 days and have a tournement as soon as I return. I just cant get them local and everyone is telling me they are discontinued.

Autozone told me they could not even order the QC12PEP for me but could not tell me why, I got some 2 weeks ago from sparkplug.com also, arrived in 3 days standard shipping

I think somebody is giving you bad info, Champion web site as of tonight still lists it as part #956M ??? $6.04 list price

yep , you are right. I wonder why no one seems to be able to order them? or did champion just change the part number ?

Don't know, guy at Autozone finally found them in the catalog when I showed them to him, if you use Champions plug reference you will not find the Ficht's listed and if you " reverse use" the plug you do not find any applications listed. Last Ficht's were made 5 yrs ago ?, maybe they are just low volume

I have a box of 6 brand new QC12 PEP plugs I would be willing to sell for a reasonable price plus shipping. I sold my '02 200 Ficht which they were for and bought the new E-Tec. Obvious new plugs (of course). Send me an email of you are interested.
