Just read where two anglers on the South Winter Haven Chain were fishing a tx, and were harrassed by a property owner. Apparently they were fishing around his dock where he had installed a fish feeder, and he wanted them to leave. I guess they said no, and said property owner fired up the kicker on his pontoon, trimmed the it up, and sprayed them. The anglers then called FWC who responded. The offending property admitted to harassing the anglers and was charged with interfering with legal taking of fish. A lot of folks don't know it is against Florida State Statute to harass fisherman who are acting legally in their endeavors. I say kudos to them, I have had several run ins with dock Nazis but never to this extreme. Hats off to FWC for coming out and making the charge. Maybe word will get out that the water even under a dock belongs to everyone. It really makes them angry while they are ranting and you stick a good fish. Just always be respectful of their property, and stay within the law, and their should be no problems. We had this happen one year on a salt water trail we fished. Their was a marina that had declared itself a "sanctuary" but the state didn't recognize it. One team went in and was catching some snook until the marina folks came out and sprayed them with water hoses. They called FWC and the marina lost. Here is a link to the story in the Lakeland Ledger.
