    Winter Haven chain

Got a tx there in a little over a week. Wondering what the water levels are like. Are the canals passable? Are the fish spawning? Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Winter Haven chain (g3man)

some friends of mine fished last weekend. All they do is fish open water, and they are good at it. Problem is they got destroyed. He said the flipping bite was on while they caught one small fish. It took 25 lbs to win. They are fishing tx's every weekend so I guess the canals are ok. Check the Lakeland Ledger's sports page online. They have a complete rundown of the chain each Thursday in the outdoors section. good luck.

water levels are down, but most canals are still passable. only two or three lakes that you can't get to but the fish are being caught in the main lakes,Summit, Winterset, Elosie, Lulu, Howard and Cannon. And flipping seems to be the ticket.
Just trim up in the canals, alot of trash on the bottoms that will clog your water intake
