    South Florida

I'l be headed down to Davie for work this weekend. Looking at the satelite photos, there are canals and ponds everywhere. We'll be around Pine Island Rd and I-595. I was thinking about bring along a couple of rods. Does anyone know if I will be able to find bank access to the water. If so, what baits should I bring along?

There is bank access to most of the water you see, Texas rigged worms, spinnerbaits, and a few different topwaters will cover ya. You might even catch a few Peacock bass.

Thanks for the info. I would love to catch some Peacocks. I've never saw one in person.

And don't be shy to work them VERY fast. I've had good days catching them on traps too.

Re: South Florida (The Old Man)

Thanks you guys for the tips. Unfortunately I had a death in the family and will have to head up to Louisiana.

Hopefully I can plan a trip in the spring and bring the boat down.
