    crooked lake

Going down to crooked lake to do a little scouting and pre fishing for a tx in sept.
We are launching out of the public ramp and was wondering was the water level good enough to get through to the main lake?
Any helpful tips and productive areas would help me reduce unproductive water. Thanks for any help.

I had 2 buds fish the lake last month for a few days. They caught several 5-6lbs and 1 over 12, by fishing the deeper holes of the lake using 10-12" worms on a carolina rig.

Water level is good. As far as the post about big fish, if they found a hole like that they are definitely in the minority. Most people are catching Crooked Lake Specials. Theyre 12 alright. 12".

Lets see. Water level is good. and fish offshore. I guess I will be looking for offshore structure. Any clues on where to start? I'll be there Saturday & Sunday doing my scouting.

Didn't come up with any pattern.
Be careful out there when you go. I'll be glad when the water levels start coming back up. There is schoolers all in the deeper waters of the big lake. Good luck to you

    Re: crooked lake (250bassFL)

Thanks for reply and help. We put in at little crooked. WoW, should have spent the 7 dollars at bobs. The water is very low there. took half an hour just to get to mouth of canel. Caught a logt of bass. All 1lb to 1.5lbers. Wanted to fish deeper but the wind was a blowin' Might try and make it out there again before our tx.
What do you know about Lake Reedy. A few people I talked to down there said it was a good lake to fish. Rode by the ramp and it looks like pretty clear water. Thanks for the help everyone.
