    ***UPDATE***1985 GT150

OK, since I was sick last week, and wound up in the hospital, my dad took the boat to the shop for me, got it back Friday afternoon, I took it to Lake Tillery today, and took my son fishing.....although we didn't catch any fish, we had a great time.....and to top it off, the boat ran great, the guy at the shop said that the linkage and sync was all out of wack.....he sync'ed it, adjusted the idle and throttle cable......the thing ran like a new one....63 MPH (GPS) loaded, holeshot was awesome, all around a great improvement (guess I will have to watch those people who say they know what they are talking about...no one here that is...everyone here has been great), the guy checked my compression said it is greatly above where it should be on average.....to the good that is.....everything else he checked was in tip top shape....all I need now is a trim sender, and some minor trailer repairs and I will be good to go.....Thanks for all the help, and advice, I can only hope to be able to return the favor someday.....

    Hello Bryan,

That is fantastic news. I am happy that you have found the solution to your engine problems.
Now share with us what rpm, motor height, and prop you are running with your combination. Also, what are the compression numbers on your engine.

    Regards,

I don't know a thing about the motor height, and didn't really note the RPM, I will get all that next time at the lake......sorry wish I could tell you more.
