the dang things to bite. I took my wife out this morning hoping to get the early bite at Floral City, I wanted to go to Rainbow/Withlacoochee but my "partner" wanted to dawdle. I was advised that Sun. she will get up early so maybe I/we can catch a dang fish. I've been very patient and was dragging C-Rigs, weedless T-Rig worms, wacky rigging the Special Senkos I scored, swim jigs, spinnerbaits, crankbaits et al, to no avail. My "partner" threw both my tackle boxes and hers, again, to no avail. What gives?
In 1985-87 the fish in Ca. were biting like crazy and it spoiled me I guess. The only bites I've had was a rather large alligator and one of those turtles with the long, leather type neck that make a weird noise when they hit a fluke or maybe the hook in the fluke.
Ive read a hundred articles in recent BASS mags, done research re: summer angling and still nada/de nada, which kinda wrecks it for me...
About 2 weeks ago I read that if 'you' are casting towards the bank. 90% of the fish are behind you which I'm hip and haven't fished until I flipped both a jig and Jackall plastic in the shade today. The other day at lake Henderson the water was 91º so I went to the deepest part of the lake and again ZIPPO.
Any help would be great and I'd be obliged...
P.S. I don't hunt anymore so that is out and even when I don't go out in my wife's Triton, I run my golf cart over to my buddies and fish in his backyard.... you guessed it a handful of sh¡t... Thanks
